Chlorinated Polyethylene (CPE)

Chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) is a kind of polymer material made from high density polyethylene (HDPE) through chlorination reaction. The product is white powder, non-toxic and tasteless. It is a thermoplastic elastomer.


Classification of CPE: it can be divided into common use chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) and rubber type chlorinated polyethylene (CM), according to its application.

Main application of CPE

◆ CPE is an excellent and cost effective impact modifier. When it is used in the production of hard plastic profiles, pipes, pipe fittings, plates, etc., it can greatly improve the impact strength of products and significantly improve their high and low temperature resistance and weather resistance.

◆ CPE has good flame retardant performance. Because of its good compatibility with ABS resin, it can be used for flame retardant modification of ABS resin.

◆ CPE has high filling property to iron oxide magnetic powder. The magnetic material made with CPE has good low-temperature flexibility and is widely used as refrigerator sealing strip and magnetic card.

◆ Semi hard plastic products and soft plastic products.

CPE, as a non migrating plasticizer, can improve the softness and aging resistance of products. It can be used in the production of wire and cable to improve its wear resistance, aging resistance and insulation performance; It can be used in the production of film and hose to improve the low temperature and weather resistance of products.
